Appin Rainforest Regeneration
Appin is widely recognised as a leading example of rainforest restoration in Scotland. The woods are part of a mosaic of habitats that are free of invasive species, and a diverse range of native tree species is securing a future for the rainforest.
South Assynt Project
This is a 30-year collaboration between the Assynt Foundation and the Woodland Trust, seeking to support community wellbeing and livelihoods through ecosystem interventions at landscape scale.
Regenerating Craignish rainforest
The Regenerating Craignish Rainforest Habitats project will work with communities, landowners, households and land managers to enhance and revive the mosaic of native woodland types, species-rich grassland, wetland habitats and rough grazing land that exist here.
The Glen Torridon Partnership Project
Running from Kinlochewe to the shores of the sea, Glen Torridon is one of the most evocative landscapes in the world. Contained within the Loch Maree Complex Special Area of Conservation and including part of Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve, this area of about 28,000 hectares contains a mosaic of rich habitats, including rainforest.
